INGCO is the most famous Chinese tool brand. Its main market is Middle East, Southeast Asia, Latin America, Africa. INGCO don’t sell their tools in domestic market.
The founder of INGCO, Mr. Liu Qiang, is a former employee of POSITEC. POSITEC is a leading manufacturer of power tools based in Suzhou city. Mr. Liu had to resign from POSITEC in 2008, then he established INGCO in Suzhou. When he resigned, he and POSITEC had to sign a competition agreement. According to this agreement, Liu could not engage in power tool industry. At the beginning, INGCO produce hacksaw frame as a OEM manufacturer. The trade mark of INGCO was registered in 2008. The competition agreement between Mr. Liu Qiang with POSITEC was over in this year.
INGCO created the business model of one-stop tools station. They think customers should buy tools in one tool store only and no need to go to several stores. For this reason, with their work experience in POSITEC, INGCO had gradually formed more than 2000 products, including pow tools, hand tools, garden tools, construction & industrial tools. There was no doubt that INGCO succeeded in tools industry. Till now, they export tools to more than 180 countries.
According to their unique agent policy, they can have only one agent of INGCO Tools in each country. But their products are very popular, many other companies were eager to sell their quality tools with competitive prices. In order to develop the tool business rapidly, Mr. Liu registered their second tool brand TOTAL in 2013, with blue color, unique design for all tool products and packages. TOTAL achieved success soon beyond any doubt. They registered other brands one after another in the next years. As I know, the company owned 6 tools brands. Orange INGCO, teal TOTAL, red EMTOP, blue-orange WADFOW, green JADEVER, GreenYellow DYLLU.
INGCO’s sales revenue had exceeded 2 billion USD in 2024. In fact, the company is not only a trader but a manufacturer of power tools and hand tools. They established a factory in Taicang, a city near to Shanghai and Suzhou, to produce Li battery power tools in 2020. The construction area of Taicang factory is more than 66,000 square meters, produce 2,000,000 pcs Li battery power tools per year. They start to build another factory in Nantong city to produce power tools and pliers in 2021. As I know, the pliers factory is operated by their pliers’ supplier from Zhangjiagang city, the biggest production base of pliers. Zhangjiagang and Nantong look at each other across the Yangtze River, half an hour’s rive.
